Charleston, South Carolina-based Island Brands USA has announced its debut on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

The beverage-industry disruptor stood out among more than 7 million privately held businesses to earn a spot on the 5,000-company list.

The recognition comes five months after Island Brands ranked on the 2022 Inc. Regionals list of fastest-growing private companies in the Southeast that make at least $1 million a year and generate sustainable growth and jobs.

“This is an unbelievable honor for our dedicated, hard-working crew, and we are so grateful to our employees, our customers, and the team at Inc. for the inclusion on this amazing list,” said Scott Hansen, CEO of Island Brands.

“To be joining a group whose alumni include successful companies like Microsoft, Patagonia, Under Armour, and others is such an accomplishment for us as a young and growing company.”

The list, produced every year since 1982, analyzes company data in order to recognize 5,000 of the country’s most booming private businesses. The global acknowledgement gives businesses like Island Brands the opportunity to engage with a community of its peers and the credibility to help drive sales and recruit talent.

Island Brands recently expanded its Gulf Coast distribution footprint and announced a portfolio expansion into spirits and ready-to-drink cocktails, complementing its lineup of beers and flavored malt beverages.

In addition to new distribution territories and product-line expansions, Island Brands joined “1% for the Planet,” pledging to donate at least 1 percent of its annual sales directly to approved environmental nonprofits worldwide.

Island Brands USA produces beer, flavored malt beverages, craft spirits and ready-to-drink cocktails. Its popular products are currently available in 12 Southeastern states, with expanding domestic and international distribution along with fleetwide service on Carnival Cruise Lines.
